    ****************************************************************
Customer migrates a web service application from 5.1 to 6.X.
When a client tries to invoke the EJB-based service, an
    IllegalResourceIn2PCTransactionException occurs.

Transaction attributes specified in the EJB's deployment
descriptor are not copied to the web services deployment
descriptor. TX_NOT_SUPPORTED attribute on the service endpoint
interface is needed in order to avoid the exception.

Problem conclusion

  • Transaction attributes specified in the EJB's deployment
descriptor are not copied to the web services deployment
descriptor. TX_NOT_SUPPORTED attribute on the service endpoint
interface is needed in order to avoid the exception.

    The fix is in WSServerImpl.jardAdjust.
jarAdjust now copies transactional attirbutes from
    the EJB's remote interface.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
    in fixpacks 6.0.2.13 and 6.1.0.1.
