Problem

This technote answers why there will be a message indicating that "You do not have a license to run Clearcase" when using IBM® Rational® ClearCase® on Microsoft® Windows®, UNIX® or Linux®.

Symptom


Even though clearlicense shows that there are ClearCase licenses available, the following error occurs:

Error: You do not have a license to run Clearcase.

Here is an example of the clearlicense output:

% clearlicense
