Resolving The Problem
Error is given when extracting a ZIP file downloaded from the IBM Rational FTP site. WinZip generates the following error:
"Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive."
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:
1. Verify that the size of the file downloaded is the same size as listed on the Rational download site.
If it is not the same size, verify that the download was not interrupted and try downloading the file again.
2. Verify that there is enough space on the hard drive to download the file.
If not, download the file to another location with enough space for the complete zip file.
3. Verify that there is enough space on the hard drive to extract the ZIP file.
If not, extract the file to a new location
4. If none of the above resolve the error, contact IBM Rational Customer Service for further assistance.
