Error description

• There are 4 crosstabs in the sample report:
  Crosstab 1.1 and 1.2 are placed to help validate the calculation
  in Crosstab 2 and 3. There's no problem in Crosstab 1.1 and 1.2.
  Crosstab 2 and 3 are to calculate running difference based on
  Crosstab 1.1 and 1.2 using the same expression but give
  different results, and both results are intermittently wrong.

• This is working as designed.  The running difference is for the
  distinct count for a country. This involves calculating the
  different in values between two rows in the result for the
  current country. The cases where the values are not as desired
  are occurring only when there is no country in context in the
  query.
  
  To return the desired values in the crosstab requires using a
  different expression when there is no country in context. For
  the report attached to in this APAR, Crosstab 2 needs to have
  the row summary "Total" replaced with a calculation with the
  following expression:
  
      running-difference (count (distinct ([Sales
  (query)].[Sales].[Quantity])) for [Sales
  (query)].[Retailers].[Region])
