Error description
PMR 23995-100-838: FSYSVC99 - FJCPYLB DD Statement is missing Date reported: 03/01/2018 Prereqs: Apply all PTFs to date Severity: High Users Affected: All IMU users of IMU V4.1 for Easytrieve Plus and Easytrieve Classic Problem Description: IMU fails to allocate IMU libraries when datasets are exclu- sively held by another JOB. As a result, IMU translator abnormally terminates because IMU libraries fail to allocate. Problem Summation: IMU issues SVC 99 call to allocate datasets in #EZTPROC. SVC 99 is issued with S99ERROR and S99INFO option bits off because these options require APF authorization. When S99ERROR and S99INFO option bits are off, SVC 99 returns without waiting on dataset if locked by another system. Problem Conclusion: The FSYSVC99 program was changed to wait until the locked dataset becomes available. The wait attempts to allocate the datset in 10 seconds intervals until the job is canceled by operator or the locked dataset becomes available. A message is issued "FSYSVC99: Waiting on DSN=&dsname" every two minutes. The wait statement is invoked unconditionally when the "Dataset in Use " condition exists (i.e., S99ERROR = X'210' (DEC(528)). Special Installation Instructions: 1. APPLY the APAR as usual. 2. Run programs as usual (linked programs need not be re-compiled) No changes are necessary to Easytrieve Classic source. Changed modules: FSOFT01.V4R1M0.SFSYLOAD FSYSVC99 - Existing Module

Problem conclusion
The FSYSVC99 program was changed to wait until the locked dataset becomes available. The wait attempts to allocate the datset in 10 seconds intervals until the job is canceled by operator or the locked dataset becomes available. A message is issued "FSYSVC99: Waiting on DSN=&dsname" every two minutes. Run programs as usual (linked programs need not be re-compiled) No changes are necessary to Easytrieve Classic source.
