Error description

  • A CM Batch analyze job may generate view DDL with an invalid
    additional qualifier ('Z' in the example below, where 'X' is a
    valid correlation name), resulting in the following error when
    the change job is run:
    DSNT408I SQLCODE = -206, ERROR:  Z.X.column-name IS NOT

    * Tool for z/OS who use the change *
    * management batch (CM Batch) interface *
    * functionality to compare and run changes. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A CM Batch change run job including *
    * view DDL may result in error *
    *                      SQLCODE -206 / SQLCODEN206              *
    *                      because the import/analyze process      *
    * generated an extraneous qualifier *
    * in front of a column name. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When importing and analyzing view DDL containing
    a WHERE clause such as the following:

    WHERE X.COL1=Y.COL2 (where X and Y are correlation
    names)

    An extraneous qualifier ('Z' in the example below)
    may be generated in front of the first column name:

    WHERE Z.X.COL1=Y.COL2

    Since such a column does not exist, when the change run
    job is executed to create the view, a SQLCODE=-206 /
    SQLCODEN206 error may result:

    DSNT408I SQLCODE = -206, ERROR: Z.X.COL1 IS NOT
    VALID IN THE CONTEXT WHERE IT IS USED
    DSNT418I SQLSTATE = 42703 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE
