Maximum number of characters per line in the FLEXnet options file

Problem

This technote explains the maximum number of characters that can be used in a line of the FLEXnet options file

Resolving The Problem

Lines in the options file are limited to 2048 characters. The "\" character is a continuation character in options file lines. The example below shows the syntax of how to use the continuation character.

INCLUDE RationalSuiteEnterprise USER user1 user2 user3 user4 \
user5 user6 user7
