Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IMS Sysplex manager. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The IMS Sysplex Manager server address * * space can abend U0006-00000002 with * * the following message: * * * * - BPE0041E UNABLE TO ALLOCATE * * REQUESTED STORAGE * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF that corrects this APAR. * * * **************************************************************** When IMS Sysplex Manager server archives full history dataset for retention purposes, PROCLIB dataset is opened to read the skeleton JCL for log archive function. Since IMS Sysplex Manager server does not issue FREEPOOL macro after closing PROCLIB dataset, the buffer pool assigned to PROCLIB dataset below the 16M line remains as garbage. If the archive process for full history dataset occurs many times, the storage area below the 16M line will contain huge garbage. This can cause abend U0006-00000002 in IMS Sysplex Manager server address space.
Problem conclusion
GJERDPD$ has been changed to issue FREEPOOL macro after closing PROCLIB dataset.
