PK88665: FUNCTIONAL MAP WIZARD WILL NOT CREATE INPUT/OUTPUT CARDS

Error description

• Customer using:
  WTX VERSION:  8.2.0.4 Interim Fix 2
  PLATFORM:  Windows
  
  On DesignStudio(Map Designer) under above level,he can not
  create input/output card.  After adding output card and creates
  newly function map,function map is created correctly but input
  output card is not created.
  
  1.Even if we select 'Create(T)' on function map wizard,no
  function  map nor input output card are created.
  2.select 'close' on map wizard and then select map wizard,we got
  'there is no unknown map' pop up error message.
  3.ends map operation and reopens map then function map is
  displayed but input and output cards are not created.
  
  The issue has been re-created with English Design Studio.  The
  map being edited must NOT be part of a workspace.  Instead,
  choose 'Open file...' from the 'File' menu, and select any .mms
  file NOT in a project.
  
  The functional map wizard does not create the input and output
  cards as per usual.

Problem summary

• Problem Description:
  The Functional Map Wizard fails to generate a functional map if
  the map opened is not part of a workspace. Exception occurs when
  creating a map that looks for project specific functionality.
  This should be avoided if the map being created is out of the
  project workspace.
  
  Users Affected:
  8.2.0.4 and older 8.2.x  Design Studio users
  
  Platforms Affected:
  Windows
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed a problem with Design Studio where it does not create a
  functional map through Functional Map Wizard if the map is not
  from a project workspace. Workaround is to import the map to a
  project and then generate the functional map using the
  Functional map wizard would work fine.
