Resolving The Problem
QUESTION:
Can gvim be used as an external editor for Rose RealTime?
ANSWER:
Yes, gvim can be used as an external editor for Rose RealTime. However the following command must be used in the Tools / Options / Editor tab / External Editor Path field:
vim -gf
The man pages for gvim state the following:
-g - The GUI version. Starts a new window.
-f - Foreground. For the GUI version, Vim will not fork and detach from the shell it was started in.
Without the -f option, all changes in the editor window will be lost when the editor is closed.
