Error description

  • To verify that PK79157 can resolve our problem, we stopped HSRE
    with /STO REG CANCEL command.
PK79157 has worked well and hung problem did not happen.
After that, we re-run HSRE for the same AREA but it failed with
UB status code. UB means UNABLE TO OBTAIN BUFFER POOL.
After this status, we couldn't rerun HSRE to this AREA.
We could run HSRE to other AREAs.
To recover this situation we needed to recycle IMS.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HSRE FAILED WITH UB STATUS *
    * (UNABLE TO OBTAIN BUFFER POOL) *

    * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF *
    ****************************************************************
This service corrected a HSRE timing problem that cause HSRE job
    failed with status UB.
A HSRE job was cancelled after it obtained the buffer
( DMACHBFP flag set ), but prior to setting flag UHSWF2AP.
The CLEANUP routine in DBFUHSS0 checked UHSWF2AP flag only and
skip cleanup if UHSWF2AP is off. The DMACHBFP flag remained ON.
Due to the DMACHBFP flag being ON, subsequence HRSE for this
area failed with statusUB as DBFUHSS0 reject create pool request
    with RC=16.

The following change has been made to correct the reported
    problem:

DBFUHSS0: Add check DMACHBFP along with UHSWF2AP flag in
               CLEANUP routine.
