Troubleshooting the generation of .idl files for the MIDL compiler with the IBM® Rational Rose® VC++ add-in

Troubleshooting

Problem

The Rational Rose VC++ add-in supports round trip engineering of components stereotyped as <>, that are associated to Interface Definition Language (.idl) files in Microsoft Visual Studio 6. The Rational Rose VC++ add-in can update an existing .idl file and reverse engineer its contents, but it cannot create it if it does not exist.
