Problem

ccppc: Internal compiler error: program cc1plus got fatal signal 125

Resolving The Problem

SYMPTOM:
When compiling a C++ model using the TargetRTS Configuration TORNADO2T.ppc860-cygnus-2.7.2-960126 you get the following error:

ccppc: Internal compiler error: program cc1plus got fatal signal 125

You will also see a pop up dialog with the title "cc1plus.exe - Application Error".


CAUSE:
This is a known problem with the GNU C++ compiler ccppc for the PowerPC Architecture for the 860 CPU.


RESOLUTION:
There is a WindRiver patch available for this known problem for Tornado 2 & 2.0.2 hosted on X86 or Solaris. To access this patch you will have to have a WindRiver account.

- Go to http://www.windriver.com/ and download the patch SPR29516.

- Make sure the Tornado Registry is stopped.

- Follow the directions specified on the WindRiver website, or contact WindRiver support for more information on this patch. Apply the patch.

- Rebuild your model.
