This document discusses the benefits and performance gains from changes made to improve Atria Location Broker Daemon (ALBD) RPC response and overall ClearCase registry performance in version 7.1.

In this white paper, the benefits and performance gains resulting from the ClearCase 7.1 ALBD and registry server enhancements will be discussed. This will include the performance data that the IBM Rational Performance Engineering team has collected by comparing performance of the old ClearCase registry server to the new ALBD RPC enhancement on the ClearCase 7.1 registry server.
