3. KNOWN LIMITATIONS, PROBLEMS, AND WORKAROUNDS
=====================================================================
Displaying SEPA validation and error messages in alternate languages
--------------------------------------------------------------------
To display SEPA validation and error messages in alternate languages that use double byte characters, the errorxml.mtt type tree must be modified as follows:
- Open the errorxml.mtt type tree and right click on the top level element Error and select Properties.
- Right click on the Item subclass and select 'Expand All'. Navigate to the 'National Language' section. Under this selection change the Data Language from Native to UTF-8.
- Right click on Data Language in the left hand side of the panel and select Propagate. This will change the value for the data language for all of the elements in the tree.
- Right click on the Type Syntax and select Expand All. Navigate to the Initiator and change the value from None to Literal. This enables the sub-elements for this group.
- Go to the National Language -> Data Language and change the value from Native to UTF-8.
- Right click on Data Language in the left hand side of this panel and select Propagate. This changes the value for the data language for all of the elements in the type tree.
- Repeat steps 4 - 6 for the Terminator and Release properties.
- Analyze and save the type tree.
- Rebuild the seplib05_extract_error_msg map in the sepavalidation.mms map source and deploy.
- Remember to replace the default English version of sepamsgs.xml resource file with the desired language resource located in the subdirectory titled 'res'.
