Error description
An LE ABEND U4088 RC99 occurred in the client TSO address space when performing an install of a resource to all connected CICS regions. However, a review of the connected regions showed the resource had been installed properly. The install of such a resource worked without ABEND when only a subset of the connected regions were used. CEE3798I ATTEMPTING TO TAKE A DUMP FOR ABEND U4088 TO DATA SET: dump.dataset.name CEE3797I LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT HAS DYNAMICALLY CREATED A DUMP. IRX0251E User abend code 4088, reason code 00000099. IRX0255E Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC. IRX0251E User abend code 4088, reason code 00000099. IRX0255E Abend in host command ISPEXEC or address environment routine TSO.

For a CONFIG that refers to a CSD and has multiple connection definitions, each object element returned contains data for each of the target CICS regions. The ISPF client has to calculate the amount of storage required to process each object response based on the number of connections. An error in the calculation resulted in insufficient storage being allocated for the returned data, leading to an overwrite of the LE control blocks and the U4088 abend. Summary of Changes 1. The storage allocation calculation has been corrected.
Problem conclusion
The storage calculation for the ISPF client has been corrected which will prevent an overwrite of the LE control blocks. 120Y CCVIBM$0 CCVOADMN CCVOPRIM
