Error description

• Using ALC to insert column in Unicode Table causes loss of
  attributes and alters data.

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Admin Tool attempting to alter  *
  *                 a table with a VARCHAR column.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When  doing  an  alter that  involves a *
  *                      DROP-SC (Skip  Convert) of a table with *
  *                      a  VARCHAR  column,   the corresponding *
  *                      column  definition  in   the  converted *
  *                      load  control  cards  (the CNC file) is *
  *                      changed to CHAR, resulting in data that *
  *                      is blank-filled for  the maximum length *
  *                      of the column.                          *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  For skip-convert processing, ADB27AC mistakenly changes a
  VARCHAR column unload control card to a CHAR.
  

Problem conclusion

• ADB27AC logic is corrected.
