Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM IMS High Performance Pointer * * Checker for z/OS Version 3 Release 1 * * (FMID=HPC2310). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HD Pointer Checker (HDPC) changes * * reports to show the disk address higher * * than 65520 cylinders. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** In order to support Extended Address Volume (EAV), HDPC changes reports. Changed reports of FABPMAIN: VALIDPRT data set - Validation of a Pointer to a Target at SCAN report - Validation of a Pointer to a Target at CHECK report - Scan of HISAM Database report - Scan of Index Database report - Legend for Scan and Validation report - Legend for CHECK process Validation report Changed reports of FABPCHRO: PRT data set - Control Card and Pointer Information report The following two major changes are made to the reports: 1) Before change: The format is "CCCCHHHHRR". This is a 10-digit hexadecimal number. CCCC is the cylinder, HHHH is the track, and RR is the record number. After change: The format is "cccCCCCHRR". cccCCCC is the cylinder, H is the track, and RR is the record number. 2) The display digit of cylinders is increased. As this change, the display columns of other items are changed. For more details, see the documentation changes as below:
