Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Classic Fed customers defining sequential * * files while RACF is configured. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Classic server abends when a * * non-RACF authorized user attempts to * * define a sequential file while the SAF * * exit is enabled. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Classic Fed server abends with a 913 when a non-RACF user attempts to define sequential file usegrammar. The server also hangs on to the file in this circumstance and the server needs to be recycled to free the file.
Problem conclusion
The code has been changed to call the SAF exit, when configured, when a sequential file is being defined to the server. The SAF exit catches the condition, thus preventing the 913 abend.
