PK70518: space added to PRUNEPATHS line in /etc/updatedb.conf causes slo cate.cron to fail on RHEL 4

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The ClearCase installer updates /etc/updatedb.conf to add /view
  to the list of paths to be excluded from the slocate update.
  
  In 7.0.1.1 FIX02 spaces are added around the equal  sign as show
  n below.
  
  PRUNEPATHS = '/tmp /usr/tmp /var/tmp /afs /net /sfs /selinux /ud
  ev/mnt/floppy /media /view'
  
  
  The result is that the slocate.cron job fails on RHEL4 systems w
  ith this mail message sent to root:

  Remove the spaces as follows:
  PRUNEPATHS='/tmp /usr/tmp /var/tmp /afs /net /sfs /selinux /udev
   /mnt/floppy /media /view'

Problem conclusion

• This issue has been fixed in 7.0.1.9 version of ClearCase.
