• In DB2 Administration Tool, using ALC and converting datatype
  DATE to TIMESTAMP with default DECP DATE=EUR, results in abend
  INPUT FIELD 'TIMESTAMP' INVALID FOR tablename ERROR CODE '14'

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a table with a CCSID of ASCII or     *
  *                      UNICODE is  altered by  changing a      *
  *                      column type from DATE to TIMESTAMP,     *
  *                      the LOAD fails with ABEND=S04E U0000    *
  *                      REASON=00E40323  with  the message      *
  *                      DSNU334I #ssid- DSNURCON - INPUT FIELD  *
  *                      'column_name' INVALID FOR 'table_name', *
  *                      ERROR CODE '14'.                        *

  ADB27AC data  conversion logic initializes the date portion
  of the pattern for a TIMESTAMP, "YYYY-MM-DD", then proceeds
  to substitute  actual values for YYYY,  MM, and DD, leaving
  the hyphens in EBCDIC,  regardless of whether the CCSID may
  be ASCII or UNICODE.
  

Problem conclusion

• ADB27AC is modified to use ASCII date/time separator characters
  if a table's CCSID is ASCII or UNICODE.
