APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• S0C4 abend in ARY$MAIN when doing a DB2 Subsystem Analysis and
  Configuration with a small TSO REGION size.
  
  This fix will prevent the S0C4 ABEND and generate the following
  error message:
  
     RBR00164E - Requested storage unavailable. Please increase
                 region size or decrease number of tasks.
  
  ABENDS0C4 ABEND0C4 0C4
  

Local fix

• Two possible workarounds:
  
  1)  Increasing the region size.
      *** We recommend a TSO region size of 8MB.
  
  2) Change the following parmlib setting
     to 2 tasks, instead of 8 tasks:
  
       VALIDATE_DB2_VOLUME_SUBTASKS   2
  
     This parmlib value is found under the
     SETUP_UTILITY options in SAMPLIB(ARY#PARM).
  
     *** This parmlib setting also appears under
         BACKUP_UTILITY options in SAMPLIB(ARY#PARM).
         The parm does not need to be changed here.
