  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Data Collector, on a default install, runs with the trace
log at DEBUG_MIN level. This can cause a really serious
performance hit, especially on Portal Server.
This occurs on all platforms, all operating systems, etc. There
are no log files to upload.
    %dc_home%/toolkit/etc/cynlogging.properties should have all
instances of "DEBUG_MIN" changed to "INFO".
On the IBM internal portal server where I tested this today,
threads queued up with 30-second response times waiting for a
chance to write ITCAM log file entries. With the log setting
set to INFO, response times were sub-second.
