Error description
The request and response objects are declared as ServletRequest and ServletResponse types, respectively, in a generated tag file. The correct types should be HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse.

If these objects try to access any method that belongs to HttpServletRequest or HttpServletResponse, the translated java file will fail to compile.
Problem conclusion
The JSP container was modified to correct the problem. The request and response objects are now declared as the HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse, respectively, in the translated file.
