Error description

• The request and response objects are declared as ServletRequest
  and ServletResponse types, respectively, in a generated tag
  file. The  correct types should be HttpServletRequest and
  HttpServletResponse.

  *                      a custom tag file tries to access a     *
  *                      method of the HttpServletRequest or     *
  *                      HttpServletResponse, the generated      *
  *                      java file fails to compile.             *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The request and response objects are declared as the
  ServletRequest and ServletResponse types, respectively, in
  a translated java file.  If these objects try to access any
  method that belongs to HttpServletRequest or
  HttpServletResponse, the translated java file will fail to
  compile.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JSP container was modified to correct the problem.  The
  request and response objects are now declared as the
  HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse, respectively, in
  the translated file.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 6.1.0.19
