Error description
IQCABAT0 during RELOAD can get error message IQCA017E. This can occur when QCF is looking to dynalloc only RECON1 and RECON2. If these RECONs are not operational, DSPURX00/DSPURXRT returns the error message because it has less than 2 RECONs allocated. The error message received is: IQCA017E - Not zero return code from DSPURX00/DSPURXRT.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of QCF2.1 queue rebuilding * * procedures. Procedures for authomatic * * checkpoint selection and dynamic log * * allocation should use 3 RECON data sets * * (they allocate and use only RECON1 and * * RECON2 and end with error when one of these * * 2 RECONs is discarded). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Programs for authomatic checkpoint * * selection and dynamic log allocation * * allocate and use RECON1 and RECON2. * * (if no DD cards are present in JCL). * * In some cases one of these 2 RECONs is * * not operative, causing the requested * * RECON list functions to end with * * condition code 08. The process stops * * and the queues are not rebuilt. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** All users of QCF2.1 queue rebuilding procedures. Procedures for authomatic checkpoint selection and dynamic log allocation should use 3 RECON data sets (they allocate and use only RECON1 and RECON2 and end with error when one of these 2 RECONs is discarded).
Problem conclusion
Programs are changed to allocate and use 3 RECON data sets. Next messages have been changed from type E to type I (inform) IQCA024I - Allocation failed for RECON1 via IMSDALIB/STEPLIB. IQCA025I - Allocation failed for RECON2 via IMSDALIB/STEPLIB. IQCA027I - Member RECON1 not found in IMSDALIB/STEPLIB. IQCA028I - Member RECON2 not found in IMSDALIB/STEPLIB. Next new messages have been added: IQCA053I - Allocation failed for RECON3 via IMSDALIB/STEPLIB. IQCA054I - Member RECON3 not found in IMSDALIB/STEPLIB.
