• Closed as program error.

Error description

• WAS is returning a HTTP 304 response (Not Modified) on a GET
  request when it shouldn't. HTTP 304 responses are only allowed
  if the client  allows it in the request (e.g. via a
  If_Modified_Since header field in the request).

  If a file is successfully requested, and then deleted while
  the server is still running, future requests for that file
  will return a 304 status if they do not contain an
  if-modified-since header.
  

Problem conclusion

• Corrected the WebContainer code so that a 304 will not be
  returned if the if-modified-since header is not part of the
  request.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fixpack 6.1.0.19.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
