    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When the three hidden tables (TABSTATS_TABLE, COLSTATS_TABLE,
    and IDXSTATS_TABLE) are created and enabled, an Explain of a
    query would try to populate the hidden tables. This will cause
    an error with SQLCODE -404. The error message is as follows.
    "THE SQL STATEMENT SPECIFIES A STRING THAT IS TOO LONG".

    Additional Keywords:
    SQLEXPLAIN SQLCODE404

Problem conclusion

  • When populating the hidden tables, DB2 did not align some of the
    fields in the record correctly. These fields are now aligned to
    fix the problem.
