PM17859: RECONCILE VOLUMES CONSUMES HIGH AMOUNTS OF MEMORY.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When there are a large number of archive objects on the target
  server,  the reconcile volumes command can consume high amounts
  of memory,
  when run on the source server. The greater the number of objects
  the more memory that the sever can consume.

  Running show alloc at regular intervals will show memory
  consumption increasing;

• Restart tsm server process/service after process has completed
  if the memory has not been freed.
