Error description

  • FPA UNLOAD, RELOAD and EXTRACT with SORT=YES issue the HFPT3308E

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
FPA does not have the function of dynamic allocation for SYSOUT
    DD.

Problem conclusion

  • FPA is modified to allocate SYSOUT DD dynamically, if SYSOUT DD
statement is not specified in the JCL statement when the data
    set is necessary.
FPA dynamically allocates the data set by using SYSOUT=*.

The description of SYSOUT DD is changed as follows:

     SYSOUT DD

This is an optional DD statement. This data set is required
as an output data set for DFSORT when DFSORT is needed.
This output data set contains the messages that are produced
      by DFSORT.

      Notes on dynamic allocation:
When DFSORT is needed and this statement is not specified
in the JCL statement, FPA dynamically allocates the data
      set by using SYSOUT=*.
