Abstract

When a Java EE application is deployed as a composition unit of a business-level application, a copy is created and not removed after the composition unit is created

PM90478 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
A copy of the Java EE asset is created after the asset is deployed as a composition unit and is not removed.

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.0 and 8.5.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When a Java EE application is deployed as a composition unit of a business-level application, a temporary copy of the application is created in the deployment manager logs directory and not removed after the composition unit is created.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The code has been corrected to remove the temporary copy.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
