PM88003; 8.5.5: SIP container does not construct the Contact header

Download

Abstract

The SIP Container constructs the Contact header incorrectly when the application is running on a non-default listening point.

Download Description

APAR PM88003 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Container does not construct the Contact header field correctly when the application running on listening point 5066 sends an INVITE request. The Contact header field contains port 5060 instead of 5066.

LOCAL FIX:
None

PROBLEM SUMMARY:

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of the IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5 Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) container.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The SIP Container constructs the Contact header incorrectly when the application is running on a non-default listening point.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

When an application is running on a non-default listening point, the SIP Container uses a default listening point instead of the application listening point to construct the Contact header.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The SIP Container now uses the correct listening point to construct the Contact header.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
