Error description

  • DFR is giving incorrect output in a 'DATA BASE STATUS LIST'.
If a x'2205' log record has been written by an UPDATE DB command
after the recovery start FP checkpoint, DFR uses that x'2205'
log record unnecessarily to construct DDIR basic database
    control blocks.
Since DFR registers more than one entry of DDIR with the same
database name, duplicate database names may be listed in a 'DATA
BASE STATUS LIST' under IMS V10 and IMS V11.

    ****************************************************************
If a x'2205' log record has been written by an UPDATE DB command
after the recovery start FP checkpoint, DFR uses that x'2205'
log record unnecessarily to construct DDIR basic database
    control blocks.
Since DFR registers more than one entry of DDIR with the same
database name, duplicate database names may be listed in a 'DATA
    BASE STATUS LIST'.
DFR should bypass a process of the x'2205' log record that is
created by the UPDATE DB command.

Problem conclusion

  • The following modules have been modified.
    (x = A or B)

DFRLDBDx - This module was changed so that DFR might bypass the
process of the x'2205' log record that is created by
               the UPDATE DB command.
