PM13486: ARS:REG_VS2008.BAT FAILS TO REGISTER SOME *.DLL FILES IN SOME SI TUATIONS IN CC-VS.NET 2008 INTEGRATION

Error description

• Summary:
  In order to set up  CC-VS.net 2008 integration, after installing
   VS.net 2008 and 7.0.X CC, you need modify some files of  CC-VS.
  net 2008.zip, and then run Reg_VS2008.bat of 'CC-VS.net 2008.zip
  ' to register some *.dll files. But in fact in some situations,
  Reg_VS2008.bat always fail to register some *.dll files:
  Situation1:
  If you install CC and VS.net 2008 in the default directory C:\ d
  river, but you extract CC-VS.net 2008.zip to other driver (e.g:
  D:\ driver) and run Reg_VS2008.bat, the error 'ccvsiinterfaces.d
  ll does not exist' will occur.
      In fact, the 'ccvsiinterfaces.dll' existes in the related di
  rectory. If you copy the 'CC-VS.net 2008' folder to C:\ driver,
  and then can run Reg_VS2008.bat successfully.
  Situation2:
  If you install CC and VS.net 2008 in non-C:\ driver (e.g: F:\ dr
  iver), after modifying some files according to the installation
  instruction, whether running the Reg_VS2008.bat in F:\ driver or
    in C:\ driver, Reg_VS2008.bat always fails to register some *.
  dll files. If running it in F:\ driver, the error message is the
   same as the screen shot 'reg_VS2008_error1.jpg'; If running it
  in C:\ driver, the error 'ccvsilanservice.dll does not exist' wi
  ll occur.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• ARS:Reg_VS2008.bat fails to register some *.dll files in
  some situations in CC-VS.net 2008 integration
  

Problem conclusion

• The script Reg_VS2008.bat has been optimized so that it can
  now be run from any location.
