Error description

  • When generating a JCL For Compile Link and the JCL Data set and
    Member Name contain #,@ or $ a error message is displayed.
    'Invalid name: the name contains invalid characters.'
    

Local fix

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • The data set name validation was incorrectly being done. The
    problem has been fixed now by calling the correct validation
    code which takes the code variants (@, #, $) into account.
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.1 Refresh Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
