PM11851: HTML EMAIL IS RECEIVED AS PLAIN TEXT IN MS OUTLOOK AND OTHER CLIENTS

APAR status

Error description

• When run interactively (via Run with Options) and choosing "send
  me the report by email" the emails come through appropriately
  formatted.  When scheduling the report to run at a later time,
  the HTML is NOT correctly formatted.  Doing a diff on the 'view
  source' between the two iterations, the scheduled version calls
  a '../skins/corporate/viewer/QSRVSelection.css' which may be
  getting blocked by Outlook.
  
  This problem occurs because Outlook 2007 uses the Microsoft HTML
  parsing and rendering engine (MSHTML) from Microsoft Office Word
  2007 to display an e-mail. When MSHTML from Word 2007 processes
  the table cell, MSHTML from Word 2007 ignores extra space. When
  MSHTML from Internet Explorer processes the table cell, MSHTML
  from Internet Explorer displays as much space as possible.
  
  Note Earlier versions of Microsoft Office Outlook use MSHTML
  from Internet Explorer to display e-mail.
