PM11745: PANEL ADB2M1S FAILS TO MAINTAIN CURSOR POSITION. FFA10 PM24212

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS, use of
  SM ( Space Management ) function
  leads to panel ADB2M1S , which can contain many more rows in the
  data display than will fit on a single ISPF panel. Use pf8 to
  scroll down one or more screens of data, followed by one of the
  following actions:
  .
    1. ENTER,
    2. or ? (for a list of permissible line commands),
    3. or use of a valid line command.
  .
  All 3 cases result in a return to row 1 of the data displayed
  in panel ADB2M1S. In cases 2 and 3, a pf3 return from an
  intermediate panel display is required to return to the panel
  ADB2M1S display.
  .
  In all 3 cases, customer expects cursor position
  to be maintained at the current data row in panel ADB2M1S,
  rather than returning to row 1 of the data display in panel
  ADB2M1S.

  *                      requested list after returning from a   *
  *                      command or pressing the enter key.      *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

  The columns and search fields that are displayed in a
  shortened field on panel ADB2M1S 'Page Set Statistics'
  have the wrong justification and format. The DB2
  Administration Tool for z/OS does not keep the right row
  and cursor position when displaying the table using
  these search fields.
  

Problem conclusion

• Panel ADB2M1S 'Page Set Statistics', the EXEC ADB2MSP
  and the Program ADBMAIN were modified to make
  the panel ADB2M1S keep the right row and cursor
  position when displaying the table.
