PM11706: 'The installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backwards compati bility 64 bit has failed' when installing SA v11.3.1

Error description

• Windows Server 2003 64 bit
  System Architect v11.3.1
  
  Impact: Unable to upgrade from 11.2 to work on a new project
  
  Expected Results: To be able to install System Architect v11.3.1
   on a 64 bit operating system
  
  Actual Results: During the installation of the prerequisites for
   System Architect v11.3.1, the installation fails.  Specifically
  , the 'Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backawards compatibility'.
  
  Error message when attempting to install the prerequisite via SA
  's installation:
  
  'The installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward compatib
  lity 64 bit has failed. Setup will now exit.'
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Run the RatlSysArch_11-3-1.exe on a Windows Server 2003 64 bi
  t
  
  NOTE:
  The problem was confirmed by Duncan and Sudarshan.  The problem
  is that installer looks for the 32 bit version of the Microsoft
  SQL Server 2005 Backwards Compatibility and not the 64 bit versi
  on.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• During the installation of the prerequisites for System
  Architect v11.3.1, the installation fails.  Specifically,
  the "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backawards compatibility".
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed with internal CR# 55580 in version 11.3.1.1:
  
  Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward compatibility 64 bit
  prerequisite checking wrong registry key
  
   The Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward compatibility 64
  bit.prq file checks the registry to see if it needs to be
  installed (and whether it has been successfully installed).
  
  We don't support 64bit installations officially, but the
  installer does try to work; so this should be fixed. Just
  need to change the registry key being checked.
