Abstract
This download package provides the runtime environment components for use with applications developed with the IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 compiler.
Download Description
If you wish to run an application developed using the IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 compiler, but do not have the corresponding version of compiler or runtime environment already installed, then you need to install the Runtime Environment package.
Note: Depending on the application, in addition to the Runtime Environment package, you may also need to install the April 2011 Update for XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 Addons package. The Addons package contains files that may be required by some third-party applications. Only download and install the Addons package if instructed by your application provider.

This update includes the following APAR:

* Some or all of the above APARs may have been originally fixed in another release of this product. In such cases fixes have been ported to this release, and APAR descriptions have been copied from the original APARs.
Latest updates
It is highly recommended to always use the latest PTF level. Click here for the list of latest product updates for IBM Fortran compilers. If required, the previous PTF (VRMF: 13.1.0.6) can be obtained here.

Note: If the 32-bit libstdc++ package is not installed on a target RHEL6 system, running programs compiled with the XL Fortran compiler may fail due to the missing shared library libstdc++.so.6. To resolve the issue, install the following 32-bit package from the RHEL6 distribution:

The IBM XL Fortran for Linux, V13.1 RTE is not supported as a stand-alone product.
