PM10408: SEVERAL LINKEDIT ERRORS APPLYING PTF UK49536 10/03/19 PTF PECHANGE

Error description

• The following errors were received applying PTF UK49536:
  - MSGIEW2635I in link edit of IZTUDAT0. Caused by uneeded
     EODAD= in DCB Defintion in RMODE(ANY) module IZTUDAT1.
  - MSGIEW2456E in link edit of IZTCLN00 due to missing CSECT
    IZTCOMP00. Caused by PK84996 having included JCLIN to add the
    CSECT to IZTCLN00 but not updating the IZTCOMP0 CSECT to
    actually link edit the module.
  - MSGIEW2480W in link edit of IZTUD1U0 due to duplicate entry
    names DLICHKP0 and DLIROLB0. Caused by unused CSECT DLIDB1M2.
  - MSGIEW2456E in link edit of IZTUD1U0 due to missing CSECT
    ALLHEXFF.  Caused by unused CSECT INIDB1D0.
  - The ETO Support manuals do not clearly identify the
    requirement for the IMS Extended Terminal Option (ETO) feature
    of IMS.
  - ABEND0C1 IZTLGFXB or any ABEND0C1 because of an
    unresolved address.

  The following problems are being addressed in this APAR:
  1. Batch update utility not properly setting all flags when
  SLU2/3270 GLOBAL Device record updated. This can cause ETO
  Support to ignore options specified in only the Global options.
  2. Message IEW2635I in link edit of IZTUDAT0 caused by unneeded
  EODAD= in DCB definition in RMODE(ANY) module IZTUDAT1.
  3.Message IEW2456E in link edit of IZTCLN00 due to missing
  CSECT IZTCOMP0. Caused by PK84996 having included JCLIN to add
  the CSECT to IZTCLN00 but not updating the IZTCOMP0 CSECT to
  actually link edit the module.
  4. Possible S0C1 abend in the IMS control region if PK84996
  is applied with the return code 8 (message IEW2456E) from
  the SMPE apply.
  5. Message IEW2480W in link edit of IZTUD1U0 due to duplicate
  entry names DLICHKP0 and DLIROLB0. Caused by unused
  CSECT DLIDB1M2.
  6. Message IEW2456E in link edit of IZTUD1U0 due to missing
  CSECT ALLHEXFF. Caused by unused CSECT INIDB1D0.
  7. The ETO Support manuals do not clearly identify the
  requirement for the IMS Extended Terminal Option (ETO)
  feature of IMS.
  

Problem conclusion

• The batch update utility has been corrected to properly set
  the flags in the SLU2/3270 Device GLOBAL record.
  Also, module IZTCOMP0 has been updated, so it will now
  get included in the SMPE Bind.
