Error description

  • Table names in Sybase containing more then 28 characters are not
accessible through Framework Manager during the metadata wizard.
 The FM message is:

RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation
'sqlOpen' status='-69'
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the
operation 'AOpen'
UDA-SQL-0445 The Sybase server: <servername> returned the
following message: "The identifier that starts with <table name>
is too long.  Maximum length is 28"

  • Even though Sybase 15 has increased the size of  identifier to 2
55 from 30, UDA can not set it because   our interface to Sybase
 is set to use 12.5 capability.
UDA set to 28 to include the delimited character
