IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager is a software solution based on IBM Security Identity Manager and IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On.

The solution provides:

• Centralized administration, secure access, and storage of privileged shared account credentials
• Role-based access control for shared accounts
• Lifecycle management of shared accounts ownership
• Single sign-on through automated check-out and check-in of shared credentials
• Auditing of shared credentials access activities
• Integration with the broader Identity and Access Management Governance portfolio

Downloading and assembling the product

1. See the system requirements for the product. Find the system requirements at the IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager Information Center.
2. Download all parts below from Passport Advantage Online. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
3. Unpack each of the parts into the same temporary directory on the target system used to host the installation images.
4. Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install the product. See the IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager Information Center.

The IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager product consists of multiple offerings and each offering includes multiple downloadable e-images packaged by platform. Each platform package is called an eAssembly and each eAssembly contains all of the e-images required for that offering to run on that platform.
