Error description

  • An "Error in SQLDisconnect" message occurs when running JCL on
MVS that calls a map which performs a simple select from a table
using the DBLOOKUP() function.

After successful processing the job, the following error in SQL
disconnect is seen in the job output.

ERRLOC=2:24:4

  • Users Affected:
Websphere Transformation Extended DB2 adapter users on zOS batch

Problem Description:
Message: {DB2 FOR OS/390}{ODBC DRIVER}  SQLSTATE=25000
ERRLOC=2:24:4 SQL State: 25000
Appears when doing a DBLOOKUP or DBQUERY, and there is no DB2
card present in any of the maps (z/OS batch only)

Platforms Affected:
zOS batch

Problem conclusion

  • Correct problem with DBLOOKUP and DBQUERY where if  no DB2 card
access was present, DB2 would not be properly shutdown when WTX
was terminating and you would get a SQL DISCONNECT 25000 error
message.
