Abstract

Download Netezza Connector for Information Server Version 8.5, Fix Pack 2, including Balanced Optimization support, and Data Lineage support for Metadata Workbench.

Download Description

The Netezza Connector, with support for Balanced Optimization has been released for Information Server Version 8.5, Fix Pack 2. Installation of the Netezza Connector and Balanced Optimization support requires Information Server Version 8.5, Fix Pack 2 to be installed on all tiers, including client workstation computers. Data Lineage support for Metadata Workbench is also available, and includes fixes for a small number of issues in Metadata Workbench, APARS JR40853, JR40669, JR40790, JR40882, JR40932, JR41108, and JR41145.

The following table contains a list of all the patch files that are part of this deliverable. Fix Central should automatically include the correct prerequisite files for the platform you choose. After downloading, please verify with this table that you have all of the files for your platform.

Prerequisite Fixes for Netezza Connector and Balanced Optimization

Required: patch_JR40221_CC-GUI_windows_8502Common Connector GUI prerequisite patch. Must be installed on all client tier computers.


Netezza Connector and Balanced Optimization
Required: patch_CC_Netezza_{platform}_8502Netezza Connector patch. Must be installed on all information server computers, all tiers.
Optional: patch_BalOp_Netezza_windows_8502Balanced Optimization support for Netezza patch. This should be installed on all client tier computers where Balanced Optimization is already installed.

Data Lineage Support for Metadata Workbench

Optional: patch_Netezza_MWB_all_8502Data Lineage support for Netezza patch in Metadata Workbench. This should be installed on the services tier computer where Metadata Workbench is already installed.

Available platforms: AIX 64-bit only, Solaris 64-bit only, HP Itanium 64-bit, Linux (x86), Linux (x86_64), Microsoft Windows 32-bit and 64-bit.

Installation Instructions

The Information Server Update Installer should be used install the patches, following the standard patch installer instructions which are published online. The pre-requisite patches should be installed first, followed by the Netezza Connector patch. If you are using InfoSphere Balanced Optimization, this patch should be installed last.

Download Package

Files are available for download from IBM Fix Central. File size and download information will be calculated and displayed on Fix Central. Fix Central will automatically display the prerequisite fixes before download.
