APAR status

Error description

• When doing a copy project operation from a static project hierar
  chy without checking out (all) subprojects, a static copy of a s
  ubproject that is not checked out is written to the work area.
  When doing this on a Windows client, if the static subproject ha
  s 'translate ascii files' disabled, the ascii files in it will g
  et translated when written to the static work area.
  
  This occurs whether or not the 'no-translate' static subproject
  has its work area maintained or not.
  
  The static work area gets written correctly when the same copy p
  roject operation is performed from the same prep hierarchy that
  produces the same static hierarchy via the Create Baseline opera
  tion.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The parent project work area properties are incorrectly used
  when a static relative subproject is bound into the parent
  project, so when the parent has translation turned on and
  the subproject does not, the files under the subproject will
  be copied to the work area with newline translation.
  

Problem conclusion

• The program was modified to use the subproject's own work
  area properties when using a static relative subproject
  under a parent project.  Fixed in 7.1.0.1 iFix 02.
