PM06659: GEN CMD REBIND SYNTAX INVALID RESULTS IN DSNECP55 INVALID SYNTAX FOR PACKAGE KEYWORD PARAMETER ( SPACES BETWEEN NAMES )

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS created invalid REBIND
  syntax when processing packages bound in a prior release e.g:
  REBIND PACKAGE(AAAAAAA .AAAAAA .(2006-05-12-02.09.48.128-472))
  - note the blank space before the periods
  which resulted in the error message:
  DSNECP55 INVALID SYNTAX FOR PACKAGE KEYWORD PARAMETER
  .(2006-05-12-02.09.48.128-
  This APAR addresses the GEN function.
  From APAR PM03930:
  Object Compare doesn't generate VIEW DDL properly.

• Manually edit the syntax to remove the spaces
