Error description

  • The DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS used a DROP/CREATE
approach rather than an ALTER approach when processing a
change which added partitions.

*                 for z/OS who use CMDELTA mode.               *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DB2 Object Comparison Tool in       *
*                      CMDELTA mode writes                     *
*                      messages to the Report file that        *
*                      have meaning only for the               *
*                      CMDELTA process and do not              *
*                      necessarily reflect what will be        *
*                      done to implement the needed            *
*                      change. Also, there was a               *
*                      table column count problem that         *
*                      was incorrect.                          *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

The DB2 Object Comparison Tool Report warning
message needs to be restated.  The table column
count problem caused a table to be dropped/created
instead of being altered to implement a change.

this problem.
