  It appears that the iText.jar package has recently been updated
  (iText.jar v5.0 released 12/2009) the jar has been restructured
  and packages renamed, making it incompatible with the ITCAM MS
  application. To avoid this problem customer downloaded and used
  the previous version of the iText.jar (v2.1.7). Documentation
  needs to be updated with the correct URL to the iText.jar file
  and also an advisory note to inform customer to download the
  v2.1.7 version of the jar file
  .
  

Local fix

• Use iText 2.1.7 and NOT iText 5.0 for PDF support.

Problem summary

• The version of iText.jar (v5.0) linked as per the URL in the
  ITCAM Installation Guide causes the ITCAM MS to generate
  CYNVE0002E error when trying to access PDF reports.  This is due
  to the version and location of the public iText.jar binary has
  been modified recently and is not compatible with the ITCAM MS
  console.

• The following technote has been published to notify the user
  that the v2.1.7 of iText.jar needs to be downloaded:
