Error description

  • ABENDU1004 if one tablespace is included in a template list with
    the option DEFINE NO.
    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:
    A LISTDEF that specifies TABLE name with a generic or exact name
    that matches view names selects the complete table space that
    contains one of the tables pointed to by each view. The correct
    behavior is to reject the view, as LISTDEF is not supposed to
    work on views.
    When unloading from an image copy, specifying ORIGINOBID with
    any value (zero or non zero) generates 0 rows and RC=4.

Local fix

  • UNLOADing from an Image Copy and specifying ORIGINOBID with any
    value, zero or non zero, generates 0 rows and RC=4. A work
    around is to use DDLDDN with the OBID of the Create Table which
    may be found in the DB2 Catalog of the subsystem on which the
    Image Copy was created or in msg INZU375I if this message was
    issued by a previous execution of HPU. A zero value for the
    OBID cannot be used in the DDL.
    .
    For example, assuming the OBID is 999:
    UNLOAD TABLESPACE
      (specify options)
    COPYDDN SYSCOPY DDLDDN DDLIN
      (specify Table and options)
    //DDLIN DD *
      Create  ...
      ...
      )
      IN DBNAME1.TSNAME1
      OBID 999;
    //

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    1. Module inzpabf was changed to process correctly the value of
    ORIGINOBID.
    2. Module olistdef was changed to reject the views when
    fetching generic table names from SYSIBM.SYSTABLES.
    3. Modules udbcrrts, udballoc and inzpabf were changed to
    recognize objects created with DEFINE NO when the underlying
    LDS files have not yet been defined by DB2.

Problem conclusion

  • APPLY the PTF.
