PM04613: WHEN OPENING A TYPE TREE WHOSE PATH NAME STARTS WITH \\, THE OPEN RESULTS IN A LOAD FAILED ERROR

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you try to open a type tree whose path starts with \\ (UNC
Notation), the opening of the tree will fail.

The failure can be observed either by:

1) Opening the type tree with the Design Studio, the Design
Studio will generate a "load failed" error.

2) Opening a map that contains the tree whose path begins with
\\, the map will open but the associated items for the tree
will not be displayed within the map
