• ABENDU0218 in sort address space when some log records are
  shorter than the SORT FIELDS= indicates

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All DRF users recovering Indexes with        *
  *                 databases in the same Subordinate A/s.       *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When recovering Indexes and databases   *
  *                      in the same SAS, the key length for     *
  *                      sort is calculated including the KSDS   *
  *                      key length. In some cases the SORT key  *
  *                      length may be longer than the data      *
  *                      length for another DB, and the SORT     *
  *                      will fail. SORT OPTION VLSHRT has been  *
  *                      set as default in DRF sort.             *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF      *
  ****************************************************************
  SORT OPTION VLSHRT is now the default for all DRF SORTs. This
  will pad the record when the record is found to be shorter than
  the key fields.
